I have no real background on art, and since my college course [architecture] requires me to be able to draw, i started to practice sketching.

Since im new to art [though i used to write] i suppose its only normal that my first few sketches wont really be that good. It's just that, when i finished first portrait, i found myself hating the it.

Looking at the "final" sketch, it didnt look anything close to the original picture. I even doubt that the model of the sketch would realize that it's a portrait of her. Everything was just wrong, the proportion, tonal value, etc... eyes, lips, nose, ears, hair, shape of the face, everything was just wrong.

I fell in love with the original picture. I loved it so much that i wanted to draw it myself. Sadly, it didnt turn out that good. I would have wanted people to fall in love with the picture, no, the subject, as much as i do.

Hopefully, someday I would be able to make a better drawing. I'm not in a hurry, that could be years from now, but I do hope that i would be able to do that. I'll make people fall in love with my drawings and their subjects. Someday...
